What Type Of Work Do You Carry Out?

We carry out all electrical installations, maintenance, inspections, testing and certification work. Everything from the installation of three phase industrial supplies to new builds. From CCTV and fire alarm systems to circuit boards. As highly qualified electrical contractors the bulk of the work we undertake is medium to large contract work. Smaller projects can be just as challenging and fulfilling – we have electrical contractors and a pricing structure to suit all electrical work.

Maintenance services are available for your property on a contract basis to keep your costs down, ensure your insurance company is happy and keep you within budgetary constraints.
The inspection and testing service includes fixed wiring testing of the electrics within your properties as well as appliance testing through our PAT Testing service.

All our electrical services are available  throughout approximately a 100 mile radius of the City of Peterborough. Our offices and workshops are in Yaxley. Our electrical contractors regularly work in villages, towns and cities throughout the area.

It’s our responsibility to ensure you get the most appropriate solution for your needs in the most cost, time and resource effective manner, which is why we will discuss your particular requirements with you, make recommendations and suggestions then advise you on pricing. As all projects are different we’re happy to give you an estimate or a quotation, which is, of course, free of charge.

How Quickly Can You Attend?

Obviously, if it’s an emergency situation an electrical engineer will be with as quickly as the situation will allow.

For scheduled work, when we can start will be dependent upon your requirements and the nature of the project. However, once we’ve agreed a date and time you will be given a specific time slot in which we will arrive and we will always keep you informed. We do ‘puff our chests out’ about the fact that we have a 96.7% record of being on time. There has been the odd time where an emergency has necessitated us being a little later than agreed but if that was to happen we would keep you fully informed.

Who Will Carry Out The Work?

A qualified electrical contractor (occasionally accompanied by apprentices) will arrive on time to complete your electrical work. They will possess the required skills and experience and will be employees (not sub-contractors) of FCE Ltd. We take extra care to screen all applicants prior to employment so you can rest assured that they are proven professionals.

When Were You Established?

FCE Limited was established in August 2001 and have been carrying out electrical work throughout the region ever since.

Are you’re Electricians Trained and Qualified?

Yes all our electricians are trained and  electrical contractors qualified to current electrical wiring regulations – BS7671:2008. Most of our electricians have also undergone an electrical apprenticeship before becoming qualified. We adhere to all NICEIC guidelines and standards as well as being a Construction Line Member. All our electricians regularly attend approved training courses to enhance their skills – including the standard electrical regulations. We also arrange for electricians to attend courses specialising in fire alarms, emergency lighting, inspection and testing, local building authority warrants and PAT Testing.

Are Your Electrical Contractors Insured?

Yes, you are fully and comprehensively protected by the £5,000,000 Public Liability Insurance and £10,000,000 Employers Liability Insurance polices we carry, which means that in the unlikely event that an incident occurs you are fully and completely covered.

Is Your Work Guaranteed?

Yes, apart from being an NICEIC approved contractor we operate with a Code of Practice and Guarantee Scheme which ensures the best possible relationship between you as our client and ourselves. The Code and Scheme covers all electrical work undertaken by us in all disciplines.

How Can I Pay My Invoice?

You can pay for your invoice by BACS, Bank Transfer, cheque or PayPal.

Can I Give Feedback On Your Service?

We will ask you specifically for your feedback when we complete your project to help us ensure standards are maintained. It makes sure everyone is focused on giving you the quality of service you deserve.
