FCE have completed a lot of work throughout the building here at Shine but what we’ve been particularly pleased with is the savings we’re making due to the environmental lighting they fitted. We have had low energy strip lights installed in the warehouse along with motion sensors so that the lights automatically switch off in unoccupied areas. The Low Energy lighting was also installed under our mezzanine floor along with selective “eco switch’s” which allow us to choose how many strip lights to switch on, this is particularly useful in the spring and summer months. The new strip lights provide a bright white light and although they are low energy there is no loss of light within the warehouse or offices. Having had the new lighting installed now for around 5 months we are able to see that our energy consumption has reduced by between 40% and 50% each month so the savings are considerable. We have now also installed the same in our offices and look forward to even further reductions.
